IWD Celebration: Kaduna NAWOJ Advocates Enabling Environment for women, Capacity Building in Creating Positive Change in Nigeria, Applauds Women Inclusion in Government.

Kaduna State Council of the National Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ joined the rest of the world in celebrating the International Women's Day with advocacy for enabling environment with a view to enhance capacity of women in order to create positive change in Nigeria.
In a message released by the association and jointly signed by the state chairperson, Hajiya Fatima Aliyu Mahuta and the State Secretary, Maureen Sheyin to mark the 2021 edition of the IWD celebration themed "Choose to Challenge" NAWOJ also applauded the state government for inclusion of women in participating in governance.
According to the statement, the association expressed that every woman had the potentials of making the world a better place if given the opportunity.
The statement also described women as strong and courageous, having been in the forefront in the fight against gender based violence against women and children.
NAWOJ used the occasion to call on government at all levels to consider more women in top government offices as well as political positions while applauding the state government for entrusting key positions to women, urging women at all levels to support the government in it's policy drive to protect women and children in the state.
